For the first time since CrossTalk’s inception in the summer of 2021, I skipped a week of publishing.
Last week, when you checked your inbox on Tuesday afternoon, CrossTalk wasn’t waiting for you.
And the reason is simple
I’m trying to practice what I preach.
A Different Pace
After two weeks of posting about finding a healthy pace to work and abide, I decided that posting weekly has become unsustainable for me.
As responsibilities grow at church, work, and life, a weekly publishing habit has become more difficult. For the past month, I’ve frantically written and hit publish on CrossTalk with barely 30 minutes to spare. This isn’t enjoyable for me or fair readers.
So, I’ve decided to make a slight adjustment.
New Posting Schedule
For the foreseeable future, CrossTalk will simply shift from weekly to bi-weekly.
You’ll still get CrossTalk. Just twice a month, instead of four times a month.
This way I’ll have plenty of time to write, reflect, and edit to make sure all CrossTalk readers are getting my best effort, not my leftovers.
Guest Contributors
I have many incredibly gifted friends and I want to share them with you.
So you won’t always be hearing from me, you’ll also begin to see guest contributors from time to time. These will be from pastors, writers, thought-leaders, and others who embody the ethos of CrossTalk and have a deep love for helping others live in our new reality in Jesus.
And one such contributor is planning to arrive in your email inbox in the form of a podcast interview—not a written devotional.
Moving Forward Together
Writing CrossTalk is one of my favorite parts of life.
Thank you so much for sharing it with me.
I have every hope that these adjustments will help my personal pace of abiding and also enhance this newsletter for all who read it.
